Star 1

Star 1 Interior Replacement

Read all instructions before disassembly!

A Component parts: lower edge moulding, fit pad, cheek pad, breath deflector
B The lower edge moulding has a pin that inserts into its respective hole at the rear of helmet shell. This pin is last to be disengaged and first when reinstalled. Be sure not to damage it upon removal or installation.
C The helmet shell has a groove that the moulding fits into
D The First Step: Removal of the moulding. Starting from the side of the helmet and working to the front of the helmet, gently pull the moulding away from shell and out of the groove. The pin should release last.
E Once the moulding is off, the fit pad and cheek pad are easily removed.
F Squeeze the rear of the cheek pads together and slide the chin straps through the holes and remove. Gently pull the fit pad out of helmet.
G The black plastic tabs (red arrows) wedge between the hard foam and the shell. The sides wedge back of the chin strap bracket.
H Installation: Wedge the fit pad black plastic tabs (red arrows) between the shell and hard foam (green arrows).
I Wedge the fit pad black plastic tabs(red arrows) between the shell and hard foam. Wedge the side tabs behind the chin strap bracket (blue arrow). Install the cheek pad (see F & E).

J The breath defector is installed between the cheek pad and shell. It can be installed at any time without removal of the interior or the helmet can be used without it.
K To install moulding: Insert moulding locator pin into hole in shell. Gently push the moulding into its respective groove in shell.
L To replace the external chin vent
M Remove the cheek pad (see E & F). Push locking retainers in the direction of the arrows. From the front of the helmet remove old vent. From the front of the helmet line up the 3 retainers to their respective holes and push into shell. The vent will snap into place.
